It is 1912. In a small town’s parish school run by priests the school year starts off in an ordinary way. This autumn, however, the pupils are overcome by a strangely overwhelming rowdiness, leading them to come up with increasingly more outrageous pranks. The school welcomes a new teacher, Father Weigl. The new, young teacher is aghast at his colleagues’ liberal approach to the excessively bad behaviour of the teenage pupils. Father Zoltán, the form master of the 7th year students, pays less and less attention to the events taking place right around him. His younger brother, deafened in a boxing match, was on his way to Boston for surgery at Father Zoltán’s urging. The brother was aboard the Titanic, which collided with an iceberg. The official report on the injured and casualties is yet to be released. One day, events take a sudden turn…

”yet those who are not kin, they have to live too” It is a centuries-old tradition in Hungary that people don’t vote for, but rather against someone. Instead of the corrupt Makróczy, István Kopjáss becomes the attorney general of Zsarátnok. Kopjáss is a clean character. His pockets are empty, but his head is full of beautiful, world-redeeming dreams. Alas, the position of an attorney general comes not only with power that can be turned to serve the cause of good, but also with an ungodly huge racket, called the Pig Breeding Co., as well as many, many relatives. Some of the relatives are up to their ears in the Pig Breeding Co. racket, with others dying to get in on some good, juicy scam. Kopjáss falls in love with power a bit and he falls madly in love with a relative. In the end, he runs aground since one cannot be a relative and a non-relative at the same time. At least he himself faces the consequences. On the other hand, the Pig Breeding Co. remains, wearing a curly smile.
Based on Zsigmond Móricz’ novel.

A story of an author struggling desperately to live his own life and to fall in love in the shadow of his manic-depressive ex-actress mother in the era of slowly declining communism. In their helpless interdependence, love and hate chains them to each other. This emotional stalemate is the primary meaning of the word tranquility. Our heroes are locked within the cages of their own madness, pacing within and hoping for liberation assisted by someone else. The question is whether they are going to be able to act sensibly and find a resolution.

Kishorváth (25) is getting ready to direct his very first film and submits his script to the Curatorium. The film he is planning to shoot tells the story of his grandfather, who assumed in the 1960s the distinct form of post-1956 passive resistance. He and his companions lay the foundation to an Indian tribe, put on their
moccasins and step out of the society. Their game subscribes to a strict ethics, followed closely by members of the tribe. “The Indian
does not give up his land, the Indian remains true to freedom, lives in organic harmony with the nature and his environment and never betrays his people or his companions”. However, the Indians living on the shores of River Danube seem suspicious to the authorities: they have strange weapons, they speak in an incomprehensible manner and, what is even more threatening, they are in correspondence with
some Americans. The majority in the Curatorium approves Kishorváth’s film project, but there is someone among the decision-makers who is connected to the story through their family and has quite a different perspective on the issue. This encourages Kishorváth to investigate the story in depth.Based on Géza Bereményi’s short stories.

Gabor works as an office cleaner and no one notices him in his overalls and baseball cap. As he cleans at night, Gabor has very little contact with his employers and yet he learns everything he needs to about them by analysing the things they throw away. As he is practically invisible, nobody suspects for a second that Gabor is in fact a skilled conman who carefully selects his victims based on what he learns from their rubbish. His preferred targets are the lonely and disillusioned single women whom he carefully weaves into a web of romantic illusion. It only takes him a couple of months to rob them of their savings and leave his victims sadder and much poorer than when they first met. His unusually high IQ enables Gabor to adopt a new persona at the drop of a hat, which makes him a master of manipulation. He knows he’s hit gold when he gets to clean a psychologists’ office and stumbles across Hanna, an injured dancer who happens to be the daughter of a multimillionaire. Insecure, lonely and vulnerable, the beautiful ballerina appears to be the perfect subject of his next romantic scam. This time he poses as a doctor who offers to cure not only her body but her suffering soul, which proves irresistible to a woman in such a desperate state. All goes according to plan until Gabor finds that he has fallen in love and is forced to make a choice between Hanna and the cash.

This film tells the story of a few uneventful days in the life of six pals. Lali, a great fan of America, owns a sandwich stand on the side of the road, called The Glass Tiger. Gaben pinches cars; Fox is a petty swindler; Sanyi a half-wit homeless; Coco can’t shut up about getting some dough and going to America; Slimmy keeps playing the saxophone, despite the others’ frayed nerves. Gaben talks Lali into buying an old Chevrolet Impala, the real American dream. After the long escapade of getting the car, Lali doesn’t even get the chance to try the Chevvy out, because a truck completely demolishes it. Fox in the meantime is looking excitedly for the „Wreck”, what he has been trying to sell for big money. But Lali has sold what he thought to be scrap, not good for anything. Fox is threatened by some tough guys to bring it back or pay up. He has to get money at all costs. Coco can think of only one solution. They have to rob the nearby bank. They all get into a car, but the big heist does not work out perfectly.

Our film takes the audience to the 1910’s and 1920’s Hungary, to a region populated mainly by Slovakians, but above all into a passionately painful marriage and the world of destructive love and sensual sufferings. Nobody is happier than Ondris, who’s getting married to the girl of his dreams: he’s won his father’s foster-daughter, Jadviga’s heart. He seduced this magically attractive, but dangerously mysterious woman from Germany, where she studied. The playful but fiery tempered passion on one hand and the honest desire for a happy marriage and devotion on the other can give some hope at the beginning. But things get confusing very soon: the presence of the war outside – Ondris is called up and he has to pay a heavy price for going home: Jadviga’s old seducer shows up. Ondris is in danger of losing his marriage. He’s in danger of becoming the instrument in the hand of those who try to quench the Slovakian consciousness. He’s in danger of losing his friends, and of his mother dying in the madness of being unloved. Namely it’s a possibility that he fails as lover, husband, father and son, just as he flunks as the head of the family and a member of a community. He’s in danger of self-destruction. Jadviga becomes a desperately sad wife, mother and lover because of the inexecutable and divided desires of whosoever. There’s mutual goodwill and emotional bonding between the couple but nothing can stop the break up…

- Concert and dance-house — Csürrentő
The main activity of Csürrentö is playing Csángó music from Moldva. Still other regions’ music appear regularly in our repertoire, logically mostly from the flutist traditions of different areas. Somogy, Gyimes, Mezőség, and nowadays some tunes from the Balcan, from Bukovina and from Estonia. The band is one of the most active groups among the ’second generation’ of folk bands. It has regular dance-houses in FMH for over 10 years, and from the January of 2008 the band also plays at the most crowded folk-event of Budapest in Gödör Club. After a longer pause we restarted our dance-house for children in FMH from the January of 2009. Besides we are regularly invited to play for children at different places, kindergardens, schools, etc. Besides playing in Dance-houses and at concerts, the band also cooperates with Dance Ensembles to accompany their choreographs. We have a close relation to the Alföld Dance Ensemble of Csongrád, we have accompanied Jászság Népi Együttes of Jászberény or Seremoj Dance Ensemble of Budapest. Last but not least we are also active as a concert band. These occasions are great possibilities to leave the fuctionality of dance-music and afford some musical experiments. As a result, some examples can be heard on our first LP ’Csángó utca’, from 2006. We also cooperate with some members of Pannonia Allstarts Ska Orchestra and with Patrick Rudant and Aliocha Regnard (Carnets de Voyages) from France.
